Introduction

Welcome!  My name is Melinda, and I am owned by two beautiful dogs.  The first is a two year old Blue Heeler Mix named Shadow.  The second is a four month old puppy named Cowgirl, who we believe is a Schipperke Mix.

The Blue Heeler is also know as the Australian Cattle Dog.  They are very high energy dogs bred to work, and are incredibly intelligent.  Shadow continually amazes me with the things she figures out on her own.  One of my favorites was her noticing that when I get up it's after reaching up and tapping the alarm button.  Therefore, when she decides I need to get up, she goes up and smacks the alarm clock to make it happen!  If you can survive the first 12 months with this puppy, it's a fantastic breed!!

Cowgirl's style and personality are just emerging, but she's affectionate and indomitable, and I can't wait to see how she turns out.  She'll begin attending classes in January, and I'll soon have a better idea of the type of companion she will make.
